Also too, remember that when at a party or other social interaction if I step on your shoe and apologize and then it's all cool, that's fine. But if I step on your shoe, then apologize, and you're then finding it necessary to be all up in my face, you've more than made it clear that it is essential to defend myself with equal and exacting force.
